Description

The Salix Caprea, known as ‘Kilmarnock' and weeping 'Pussy Willow' is a very popular willow for smaller gardens. Its red and yellow stems droop down gracefully to touch the ground. The spring catkins have a unique velvety texture and appearance with a quirky appealing shape. Field grown to produce a hardy and strong tree. Harvested in winter when dormant then placed in a bag. Early growth stages in the ground produces a more resilient and robust tree living longer than other trees grown entirely in pots.
