How do I upgrade my online account to Executive Membership?
Upgrade to Executive Membership
If you have an online account, you may be eligible to upgrade to our Gold Star Executive Membership or Business Executive Membership account. The upgrade amount is a prorated amount based on when your membership expires.
You can read more about the benefits of Executive Membership, including a 2% reward on qualifying purchases and our terms and conditions.
If your current Costco membership has less than 2 months until it expires, an upgrade request will be available for an additional 12 months.
1. Sign in to your account
To start, sign into your account and go to the “Upgrade My Membership” tab. You will see a summary of the benefits of upgrading your account and the terms and conditions. Click on the green “Add to Cart” button to continue.
2. Shopping Cart
You’ll be directed to the checkout cart. When you’re ready to make a payment, click the green "Checkout" button.
3. Payment Processing
Review your credit or debit card details, name, address and membership type. Make sure that you click the "I have read and acknowledged the Membership Terms and Conditions" checkbox, then click the "Place Order with Obligation to Pay" button to process your payment.
4. Confirmation message
You’ve now upgraded your Costco membership! You’ll receive a text message and/or email to confirm this has been successful.
If you like, you can log into your account to view your membership details in the “My Details” tab of your account.
