Description

The Pyrus calleryana 'Capital' is an ornamental pear tree with a columnar shape suitable for tight spaces as well as fences. It’s purple-red in autumn, has delicate white flowers in spring, and glossy green leaves in summer.

Field grown to produce a hardy and strong tree. Harvested in winter when dormant then placed in a bag. The early growth stages in the ground produces a more resilient and robust tree that lives longer than other trees grown entirely in pots.
