Sugar, spice and everything nice: turn apple cider into the perfect cocktail for the cold season with this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 whole star anise
- 150ml apple cider
- 30ml cognac
- 1 tsp raw sugar
- Granny smith apple slices, for garnish
Method

Place a small pot over medium–high heat. Add the cinnamon and star anise, and cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant.

Add the apple cider, cognac and sugar, and stir until the sugar is melted.

Pour into your serving vessel of choice and garnish with apple slices.
